Staff

Melanie Hall

My name is Melanie Hall and I have been cleaning Beaver Dam Baptist Church for more than 20 years. My mom once told me about the times that families in the church would take turns each week cleaning, so it is special to me that my mom and grandmother also cleaned this church many years ago.

I am blessed to also call Beaver Dam my home church. I was saved, baptized and joined Beaver Dam my senior year in high school, after my mom decided that we would come to church where she was born and raised. In this same church, Rodney and I were married 30 years ago and blessed with two children, Madelyn and Colin.

With your love and support, we gained Brandon, Hannah, and our grandbaby, Maddon. Thankful for our church family for being with us every step of the way and thankful for you allowing me to work with this great team.

Each week, I enjoy and take pride in making sure that God’s house is clean and ready every time the doors are opened.

Keith Pollard
Music Director

Keith Pollard

I grew up in Erwin, NC and was a member of First Baptist Church of Erwin. I was saved at a youth rally and accepted Christ as my Savior on May 13, 1971. I still have a small Gideon testament bible with the date in it. I was involved with our youth group at our church and also sang in the choir. I, and a few of my friends, were always doing something at church.

I guess I received my talent from my mother. She had a beautiful soprano voice. And while being a part of the school band, I also learned music from our church choir director, Dr. Lamar McCarroll. At the time, he was the Band Director at Campbell College (now Campbell University). He taught me so much more than he realized.

After Pam and I married in 1985, I started singing in the Beaver Dam Baptist choir. Mr. Jake Vinson led the singing and Mrs. Denise Hall was the music director. After a short time, probably around 1986 or 1987, Jake asked me to take over leading the congregation. And in 1992, Denise left Beaver Dam to go to Evergreen Baptist Church. That is when I started as music director.

To say I love music is an understatement. But I have other likes as well. I enjoy playing golf, traveling and I love to work on old cars. I do most of my own maintenance on my vehicles. I am semi-retired from the Security System business. I occasionally have service calls and system installations that I still do but that has slowed down as I get older. And we have the chickens!

Beaver Dam Baptist Church and the Beaver Dam community has been home for me since 1985 and I know that God had his hand in all of this, leading me here.
